Our Matcha flavor uses premium matcha made from young, shade grown first flush green tea leaves in the Uji region of the Kyoto Prefecture. This is the birthplace of the Japanese tea ceremony. This ceremonial grade matcha has almost no bitterness, which attests to the quality of the leaves, as you would expect from the prestigious tea growing region of Uji. The leaves are stone ground by skilled artisans to maintain a lot of its natural flavor, color and nutrients.
